Tattoo Aftercare With Wrap

Tattoo Aftercare with Wraps Like, Second Skin, Saniderm, Derm Shield, Recovery Derm Shield, or any of this type or wraps.

Instructions:
  1. Leave the Saniderm bandage on for 3-5 days. When it’s time to remove it, hop in the shower. Just peel the Saniderm slowly, and it’ll come off. Oh, and guess what? You can even shower with Saniderm on!
  2. Give your tattoo a gentle wash with lukewarm water and non-scented antibacterial soap. Use your hands only, no scrubbers or washcloths. Clean it until all the blood and plasma are completely gone.
  3. Gently pat your tattoo dry with a clean towel or paper towel. Let it air dry for 2-5 minutes.
  4. Time for some lotion love! Apply only non-scented lotion to your tattoo. Steer clear of ointments or petrolatum based products, though.
  5. Keep up with the washing routine! Wash your tattoo 3-4 times a day. And after let it dry and apply a little layer of lotion.

Traditional Tattoo Aftercare Instructions:

  1. Keep the tattoo clean: Gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, unscented soap, using your clean hands or a soft cloth. Avoid scrubbing or soaking the tattoo.
  2. Pat dry with a clean towel: Gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel, ensuring not to rub or irritate the area.
  3. Apply a thin layer of tattoo-specific ointment: Use a tattoo aftercare ointment recommended by your artist. Apply a thin layer to the tattoo, ensuring not to over-apply. Repeat this process 2-3 times a day for the first week.
  4. Avoid picking, scratching, or peeling: Itching is a common part of the healing process, but resist the urge to scratch or pick at your tattoo. Doing so can damage the design and lead to infections.
  5. Protect from direct sunlight: Excessive sun exposure can fade and damage your tattoo. Keep it covered or apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF when exposed to the sun.
